Just Press Play is so great to work with. Jeff is very responsive and is great at giving guidance on how to curate the best music for your special night. Our DJ Miguel reached out a week before it wedding and firmed up the details with me. He was very helpful and did a good job being the MC and DJ at our wedding.

I love that Just Press Play uses playlists created by the customer. It was fun to collect requests previous to the big day and we were able to ensure that all the music that was played was music that we would enjoy. The cost is also a great perk! So much more budget-friendly than other DJ companies.

We couldn't be happier with Just Press Play Productions! Picking out our favorite songs for different parts of the night was easy, but letting Andy have control of execution was really the key! He was able to read the crowd and kept them dancing all night. Our guests keep telling us how much fun they had at our wedding!

The tips and guidelines for making playlists was super helpful. Andy was great at taking our generic (slow song, dance song, etc) playlists and mixing them around according to the feel of the crowd. He had the dance floor going all night!

Amazing!! Would definitely hire again!

Jeff did an amazing job at our wedding! He kept our guests dancing all night and played all our "must play" songs to create the perfect ambiance from cocktail hour to dinner, and then dancing. He was super responsive to all our questions, very professional, and friendly. We had a great time and would definitely hire him again!

We used the emcee service that Just Press Play provides and were very happy with the price point and level of service. We wanted an emcee who would only do the basics because we wanted to save money and choose our own music. Just Press Play was a great option. The website and sales consultants provide you with many guidelines regarding the sound and music you need for a successful wedding. We were able to do a lot of planning beforehand and felt we were in good hands when our emcee arrived. He made basic announcements, made sure the sound system worked in three separate places at our venue, and played our playlist exactly as we instructed. I would highly recommend this vendor if you're looking for a simpler approach to DJ'ing!

Miguel functioned as our MC utilizing the equipment from Just Press Play Productions. Jeff’s emails were clear in regards to timeline and required preparation. After preparing several playlists and a quick call with Miguel we were set and ready to go. Miguel worked through some venue-related equipment difficulties with professionalism. The hardest part was choosing the music. On the day of the event everything went great. Services were as advertised and representative of the cost.​

Just Press Play Productions was fantastic! I was worried that creating our own playlists was going to be difficult, but it turned out to be such a fun experience for me and my fiancé! We were able to include all the songs that were special to us as a couple. Also, the sound quality was phenomenal! We had two separate rooms at the wedding venue, so we added the compact speaker to our package, and you could hear the music everywhere. Our MC for the night was Miguel, and he did a fantastic job positioning the speakers, adjusting the volume, making announcements, coordinating the speeches, and overall just making the night run smoothly! He checked in with me periodically to keep the events on time, and he was professional and easy to work with. Just Press Play Productions is one of the reasons our night was such a success, and I can't thank them enough!

My husband and I take music very seriously - we knew that we wanted a say in the music that played during our wedding ceremony and more importantly our reception. Since we had a smaller group due to the pandemic, it was even more important to us to have music we knew our guests would love. We took a lot of time to create our playlists for Just Press Play and we were very pleased at how seamless it was to pass the controls over to them! We broke the day down into 4 playlists - ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. We typed out the names of the Spotify playlists we wanted to play at which point in the night and it went off without a hitch! The MC announced our wedding party beautifully and was very attentive to which songs were hits or misses. Overall, very satisfied that we went with Just Press Play and would definitely recommend them!

These guys are great and we got exactly what we wanted for our daughter's outdoor daytime wedding on June 29.  Just Press Play provided this amazing and easy to operate sound system that gave us great sound throughout the outdoor space without overwhelming anyone with too loud music.  The bride and groom wanted their OWN music -chosen by them.  They put together a Spotify playlist on their phone.  We plugged it right into the system and we had awesome music all afternoon.  We even got microphones for the toasts so everyone could hear all the stories and jokes.  Communication was excellent.  The setup and pickup, by them, was so easy and they even gave us instruction on how to use the system.  It didn't take more than 5 minutes for a non-AV person to figure it all out.  Their website even has helpful hints and song suggestions.  Great people and great business.  I highly recommend.

The company is quick and responsive, and about two weeks before your wedding Jeff will contact you and let you know anything he needs. Alan got in touch with us a few days before to finalize some details, and proceeded to clarify questions the day of as they specifically applied to our event space. While our venue had promised WiFi to accommodate requests, we lost the connection part way through the ceremony. Alan was able to bring this to my attention quickly and quietly and we found a solution while continuing the night without a hitch. This is the best service to use if you want to really personalize your wedding. The music plays a pretty big part of your day. So If your willing to put in the time and work, it is my biggest suggestion to future Brides & Grooms to save $ and choose music you actually love & want to hear on your wedding day! 

Jeff, the owner, was by far the easiest and most prompt person we worked with during wedding planning. He was knowledgeable about our venue and knew exactly what equipment would work best. He responded within minutes to emails and his pricing is super affordable for the equipment and MC services.

On our wedding day we had Nick as our MC. We had a phone call one week before where we went over timeline, keys songs and name pronunciations of our bridal party. It was very helpful. He did have some one or two times when he couldn't play the song due to technical problems but overall, it went pretty smoothly. Our guests raved about the music but we couldn't have done it without Just Press Play!

This is the 5th time we have hired them and all we hear from our guests is best wedding music. They dont talk a whole bunch and just let the party go. If the song is a dud it gets faded out and the he keeps the party going. We have had Jeff the owner 4 x and a new guy (sorry cant remember the name) but he was great. Only critique would be maybe dress up a bit. Tuck in your shirt. But thats it - they are awesome. AND you cannot beat his prices!

We rented audio equipment from Just Press Play for our wedding because we decided we didn’t want to go with a DJ or band and instead we wanted to make our own playlists. We also booked an MC with them to help with starting the ceremony and announcements throughout the evening.

We worked with Jeff during the whole wedding planning process, and he was very helpful and accommodating in providing us all the details and tips for making our own playlists. We were able to get a standard Bose speaker for the ceremony and reception, along with a mini speaker in the other room for cocktail hour. We also had a mic to use throughout the evening. All together, they had very competitive pricing for all the equipment we got for the night and their service was exceptional.

Nick, our MC, called us the week of the wedding to go through all the details and also the pronunciation of our names (which is not easy). He showed up 3 hours early at the venue to make sure that everything was set up correctly and to do a sound check. Everything went well and according to plan, and there were no bumps whatsoever. They made the whole process pretty stress free, and we would recommend them to anyone looking to forego a DJ or band for their event.

Hiring Just Press Play was an excellent choice!  All we did was create some playlists on our Spotify and our Sound Specialist/MC, Phil, played the songs in the order that he thought flowed best for the night. We have no regrets at all about choosing Just Press Play and would highly recommend them for a wedding DJ.  You save so much more than a regular DJ and their service is spectacular.  

Phil helped us with making all the important announcements as well and checked with us on how we wanted things to be done if we forgot to discuss in advance.  I also appreciated the efforts at pronouncing some of our family names, which were challenging, but he did a great job!

Phil was Chill and yet meticulous.  His choice in the order of songs to play for our dance time was absolutely perfect!  After moving from the ceremony to the reception area, setting up speakers and other equipment took time.  But Jeff had already given us the heads up about it before the event.

Other things we loved about Just Press Play:

-Flexibility in terms of deciding how the songs are played etc. and attentiveness as our MC kept checking to make sure things were done the right way.

-Jeff was always prompt with communicating with us during the whole process especially compared to the other vendors we had.

-Our MC Phil was on time and very careful to cater to our taste.  Both his attitude and outfit were very professional.  Really appreciated his formal attire.

We booked Just Press Play Productions upon recommendation of one of our friends, and it turned out to be the biggest difference-maker of our event. At first, we thought, we only needed an iPod with our playlist. So we ordered that. Then we thought, "hey, we could use a wireless microphone for our toasts." So we tacked that on, too. And then we thought, "hey, they offer a DJ to man the music and playlists for the event at a very reasonable price. Why not add that on, too?" And that has made all the difference. A couple of weeks before the wedding, we came into contact with Jeff Ilardi from JPP Productions. We laid out every important detail about our event, and he took note of every scheduling minutiae. The two big impacts that Jeff and JPP Productions had was 1) Providing exactly the music we wanted, when we wanted, at the perfect volume 2) Often, during the event, Jeff would essentially become our on-site event coordinator, coming up to me and reminding me that "in one minute, you have your toasts coming up!" or "Did you want to cut your cake right now, as scheduled?" We found out that, during the wedding, it is too easy to lose track of time and timelines, and Jeff was absolutely professional and helpful with keeping everything on track all along the way. This is a great option for "DJ'd Services."  It is a bit labor intensive but in return you get to hear all of your favorite songs.  We got everything together in 6 weeks, if you had more time this would be easier.  Use Spotify, pay the $10/month and you will have just about every song at your fingertips.  Really this is the only way to go!

Using Just Press Play was the best decision we made, as you get to pick all of your songs! We also opted to have lights, the MC, and gave him authority to shuffle the dance songs, which turned out to be great! We had so many compliments on our music and couldn't be happier. The MC option costs a little more, but is totally with it, as they do all the announcements for you.  I would highly recommend them, to everyone, especially people that have a lot of songs they want to play. They are extremely reasonably priced, about 1/3 the cost of most DJs I got a quote from. Also, on the rsvp card, we put a line for a song request, and tried to put a good amount of those on the playlist-people get really excited when their song comes on!

This service is for anyone who a) doesn't want to pay a fortune for a dj b) likes to hear their own music and c) doesn't want to hear or see a corny dj all night long who won't play their requests! Amazing service, just what we wanted. JPP provides all the music and hook ups. You supply the source (ipod, ipad, etc), you supply the playlist, and they supply everything else. This was perfect for our Promontory Point wedding in Chicago IL. Less than $700 and we had all the equipment and an emcee to announce us and all the other highlights of the night.

We used Just Press Play Productions for our October 2011 wedding.  At first we were skeptical, but after talking with Jeff all our fears went away.  Jeff was wonderful to work with, very professional, and prompt with answering all of our inquiries.  It was great to have the option and use our own IPod, pick our own music; while not having to worry to find a family member or friend to DJ the system.     Our DJ Karl was also wonderful to work with!  Karl was great with finding any music that we did not have that our guest's requested, he was prompt to our reception, and got the crowd excited with his announcements! We really enjoyed having Karl as our DJ!    The only change I would have made is choosing the larger sound system.  Even though our wedding reception was small (around 55 people), our family and friends are party goers and love to dance!  The larger sound system is a better choice if you want to have clear sounding, nice and loud dance music!  Thanks again Jeff and Karl!

JPP was by far the easiest of my vendors to work with. The pricing was reasonable, they responded promptly to all my inquiries, and delivered exactly as promised. I was worried that having an Ipod wedding would be a disaster... I've seen it go bad at other weddings. But with a professional sound system, light system and microphone, we had all the benefits of a DJ without the generic music or cheesy ad-libbing. We had a friend make the announcements for the bridal party entrance and first dance, and I announced the cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss myself! Jeff was a joy to work with because he is full of ideas in a non-pushy way. Whenever you ask him a question, he reiterates that it is "up to you but here are some suggestions." He is very responsive to emails and meets with you in person. He is incredibly flexible and just a great guy. Out of all of our vendors, he was the best to work with and he was HONEST which is not always the case in this industry. Everyone loved the music at our wedding and said it was the best they had ever heard. We got that compliment from several guests for half the price of a regular DJ...because of Jeff! His voice is perfect for emceeing and he kept our whole wedding on schedule even before the big day by helping us create a timeline! I had a small wedding and I knew right off the bat that I didn't want a big elaborate DJ set-up. I mean, I didn't want the typical slow-dance-songs-about-love and someone telling people to get on the dance floor. It seemed overdone. And I have great taste in music myself (not really, but I played mostly 80s rock music and my friends though it was hilarious).

Messaging with the company was really easy and they really know what they're doing on this island. They've probably been to all the venues a few times so when I mentioned my location and party-size, he knew immediately which sound set-up would work best for it. 

Then for the "pressing-play" and "pause" I had one really capable friend handle it, but the company does offer someone to do the playing-pausing for you too.

Just Press Play provided MC services and sound equipment rental for our wedding ceremony and reception and we could not be happier. We provided a lacking song list and they managed to improvise and fill all the dead space with appropriate music. Note from JPP:  Eddie got lucky! Not all our MC's bring music with them, or music you like, with them.  We recommend you have at least 20 songs per hour pre programmed before your event, so this will not happen to you.

We were very happy with Just Press Play. We hosted a dinner at the Proud Peacock on the North Shore, which is a pretty big space with inside and outside areas so I wasn't sure if we would just need one or two speakers. Andy (the owner) visited the Proud Peacock while we were in the planning phase to determine what we would need. He recommended the big speaker plus a compact speaker, but when he actually set it up, the big speaker filled the restaurant with a deep, rich, powerful sound and realized there was no need for the compact speaker. Andy was attentive, conscientious, honest and fair. I highly recommend Just Press Play to anyone who wants their own music quiet and clear in the background during dinner then nice and loud when it's time to dance.

​So we did not have a wedding coordinator for the whole planning process until the day of so things were a bit chaotic and unorganized on our end. I contacted Andy about a month or so before my wedding to inquire about an AV system to provide to my friend who would be singing throughout the ceremony and a bit beforehand as well while our guests arrived. Andy was quick to respond and was very helpful in determining the best system set-up and options for me. It was a bit hard to explain to Andy our location since he had never been there but that didn't deter him. He was willing to make it work, he was prompt with responding to my emails and phone calls which was amazing. I give him a lot of credit because I made a very last minute decision the week of the wedding that affected him needing staff but he was still willing to work with me! What a life saver! Plus they deliver, set-up and break down. Bonus!

Come the day of the wedding, he arrived early and scoped out the place. He was amazing and nice according to my wedding coordinator and willingly threw in a second system (one for our singer and one for the reception). The systems themselves were amazing and everyone complimented the quality of the music not only that the singer was able to dish out using their equipment but also the music quality while it played our songs was amazing. Andy's wife who was there manning the fort was absolutely a doll and dealt with not only my crazy self but my husband's and I's eccentric family and friends. She realized right away we did not have enough songs in our play list to last the whole night, I had made a playlist on Spotify but did not download and move them into my "Wedding Playlist" instead it was simply on my Spotify account. She was kind enough to move songs over from my account into my playlist so there was always music playing.

She announced our entrance beautiful and streamlined our first dance as well as our speeches that were done. Like other people recommended, don't wait until the last minute to do your playlist but lastly hire Just Press Play! You will not regret it and more than likely you will regret you didn't. If we ever have the need for emcee and/or sound equipment services this is who we are going with. This company is a hidden gem and I am glad Yelp steered me to the right place. Thanks again Andy!

​We used Just Press Play for our wedding reception and everything was flawless. Andy was always very quick to respond to my emails, and had a high level of professionalism. We rented their sound system, table/linen, and also used the emcee service - which went great! They have helpful lists they send you with song ideas to put together your playlist, although I will say it can be a bit time consuming getting your songs downloaded and organized so don't wait to do this until 2 days prior like we did! :) It was a great way to cut back on costs, something that most all brides/grooms are looking to do - and nobody knew the difference from the service they provided to a professional DJ. If we had to do it over again we would definitely use Just Press Play again!

We rented from Just Press Play for our June wedding. It was all the way down in Ha'u'ula and Andy was awesome. He came himself early to set up since we were doing the wedding on a private estate and needed everything done early before guests arrived. While we only needed it for our reception area, the sound was so loud we also used it for the ceremony too. This is a great idea, you just create your own music playlists and hook it up. Better yet if you have apple library you could also look up practically any song any time if any one has any requests. Andy was very professional, set up was fast, he even stayed a little longer which was awesome even though it was just wedding party dancing. Two thumbs up and 5 stars for sure!

Jeff was so easy to work with over email, he understood what we needed and made recommendations based on that. Our MC Andy, showed up early to set up and did such an amazing job. My husband is a mic hog (love you honey but you are), and Andy did such a good job of letting him take over to make announcements and such. He also plugged in his OWN iPod when we ran out of songs for our money dance (I think it was the longest money dance in history). Just Play Productions was amazing at my wedding! With our current times, we opted to have a micro wedding instead of a full blown ceremony. However, all other DJ/equipment rentals were still giving us quotes for typically larger ceremonies. I was on the hunt for someone who would be willing to accommodate our smaller ceremony. Jeff and Just Press Play Productions were a perfect fit for our wedding.  Our venue was outdoors at the historic La Villita Cos House and the rules were pretty specific about the volume of the music and the speakers were just right for us and our guests! My husband and I were very happy with the sound quality from the Bose speakers. Jeff is an excellent communicator and responded to us quickly and often throughout the preparation of our music and the itinerary. We live in California and Jeff was great at corresponding despite the time difference if we had any questions or loose ends to tie up prior to our wedding date. Jeff explained everything in advance and he stuck with the plans we agreed to. He is a professional and a friendly guy, so he was easy to work with. He helped us during our ceremony and throughout the reception as our DJ and MC. We danced and had a memorable night!!

If I ever have a big party, or know someone that is having one, Just Press Play will be the first people I call.  They were great to work with and just great people.  It (the Sound System) was extremely easy to use, equipment arrived promptly and was taken away in the same manner.

Working with Just Press Play was the easiest part of our wedding.  I am so glad we found JPP!  From the outset, they were prompt in returning messages, patient and thorough in answering our questions, and totally professional in all our contact with them.  I feel the service is VERY affordable for all they provide.  The music at our wedding was exactly what we pictured, and our guests enjoyed it as well.  I already recomended JPP to one friend and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.  You can't go wrong with Just Press Play!

Just Press Play Productions was affordable and exactly what we were looking for!  Just Press Play is perfect for those who want to put together their own playlist because it is so easy!  Just hook up your computer and go!  Couldn't have been better.  JPP was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.  They helped us figure out what was the best option for our event.  We would definitely use JPP again!
